PANEL PROPS

Widely used in both industrial shed construction and high rise buildings, panel props are becoming a common product on many construction projects.

Our range includes the most commonly sought after sizes that are available in the market today, as listed below in the specifications table.

Why square instead of round?

To carry the same load as a round shaped prop, the square prop can be much smaller in overall size, making them lighter for the user. They’re also more stackable and stable, making them easier to handle on the job site.

Steel foot versus cast iron.

“Steel will have a higher ductility than that of cast iron, consequently the steel foot assembly will resist cracking to a greater degree than that of cast iron”.

Safe working load recommendations:
  • Two props/braces minimum per panel for stability and load transfer.
  • Both sections of the prop (the inner & outer sections) are permanently tagged with the model and working load information.
  • Whenever possible, the props/braces should be fixed to the panel before lifting.
  • Should you require more in depth information on any of the props/braces contact KB Hire & Sales.
